Children's Ministry

Safe, joyful, and full of love

Teaching the joy and love of God

At Sanctuary, we want our children to understand the love of God and love Him in return. We encourage learning, sharing, and community in an environment where they’ll feel at home. Here’s what you can expect on a Sunday.

Check In

Entering at Door 2 is often most convenient for families. After you arrive, head to the check-in area for kids near the welcome desk. Our teachers will check your child in and give them a name tag that will allow you to pick them up after Sunday School. We also offer activity packets for children to use while they join us in service.

Children’s Moment

Service begins at 10 AM. Children will join us in worship for the first portion of service and are dismissed for Sunday School after the Children’s Moment. For those kids who are feeling a little restless, we also offer round tables in the worship center that are great for coloring and activities.

Sunday School & Nursery

After the Children’s Moment, kids can leave with their teachers to enjoy a lesson from the Bible, worship, prayer, and lots of fun! Kids who are 4 and under are welcome in our nursery, and any child is welcome to stay in service with their families if they prefer.

Family Worship Sunday

The first Sunday of the month is Family Worship Sunday. This is a special time for our families to worship and take communion together and is very important in the spiritual lives of our children.

Safety is our top priority

All of our volunteers go through an application and background check process, and we follow the United Methodist Church’s Safer Sanctuaries guidelines.

On Sunday mornings, a church staff member monitors the children’s area to ensure everything runs smoothly and be available to help should any issues arise.

Our check-in system ensures that each child can only be picked up from their classroom by their registered parent or guardian.

Questions?

If you’re joining us on a Sunday and want to learn more about our children’s ministry, ask at the welcome desk and a volunteer would be happy to show you our children’s area and introduce you to your child’s Sunday School teacher. During the week, feel free to contact our team to learn more.
